Breaking Rust

Breaking Rust is a music project created in 2025 by composer Aubierre Rivaldo Taylor. Taylor, known as Defbeatsai, produced the project with generative AI tools to generate vocals, instrumentation, and lyrics, with no human performers. The project debuted with the EP Resilient on 17 October 2025, featuring eight tracks including "Walk My Walk" and "Livin' on Borrowed Time". "Walk My Walk" reached number one on the Billboard Country Digital Song Sales chart, marking the first AI‑generated country single to top the list, and the EP propelled Breaking Rust to number nine on the Billboard Emerging Artists chart on 1 November 2025. The release earned 35 000 Instagram followers and positioned the project emerging AI‑driven scene.
