Anti-Manipulation & Fraud Policy
Effective date: January 30, 2026
The SIQA Verified Registry, operated by The Sonic Intelligence Academy, Inc. ("SIQA"), exists so that listeners, platforms, and partners can trust what a record says about itself. This policy explains what counts as manipulation or fraud and what happens when it is found. It applies alongside the Submission Terms.
Prohibited activity
- Artificial streaming. Bots, scripts, stream farms, looping services, or paid-per-stream schemes on any platform.
- Engagement manipulation. Purchased or incentivized follows, saves, playlist adds, votes, or comments used to influence chart position.
- Metadata fraud. False artist names, release dates, identifiers, distributors, or credits; misattributing another artist's recording.
- False disclosure. Misstating how AI was used in a recording, including presenting AI-generated vocals as human performance or concealing voice cloning.
- Identity and claim fraud. Claiming a profile you are not authorized to represent, or submitting forged evidence during claim review.
- Duplicate seeding. Submitting the same recording repeatedly, or releasing near-identical variants, to fragment or inflate chart data.
- Unauthorized voice or likeness. Using a cloned voice or likeness of another person without authorization where authorization is required.
How SIQA detects it
SIQA reviews registry and chart data for irregular patterns, including implausible growth curves, geographic and listener anomalies, duplicate records, identifier conflicts, and mismatches between declared metadata and platform data. SIQA also acts on credible reports from artists, distributors, and platform partners.
Consequences
Depending on severity and intent, SIQA may take one or more of the following actions:
- Withhold or remove a recording from chart consideration.
- Correct or freeze registry metadata pending review.
- Suspend or revoke a profile's verified status.
- Revoke issued SIQA Verification Certificates and cancel related awards or plaque eligibility.
- Remove the recording or profile from the registry and decline future submissions.
- Notify affected partners where a record has been relied upon.
Honest mistakes are not treated as fraud. If you discover an error in your own data, correct it in your Creator Dashboard or tell us and it will be handled as a correction.
Appeals
If action is taken against your recording or profile, you may appeal by writing to team@thesiqa.com within 30 days with an explanation and any supporting evidence. SIQA will review and respond with a final decision.
Reporting
To report suspected manipulation or a fraudulent claim, email team@thesiqa.com with the artist or track and what you observed. Reports are treated confidentially.
Changes
Updated versions of this policy will be posted here with a new effective date.
