How SIQA identifies AI music

Every track listed on the SIQA Verified Registry carries one badge: SIQA Verified. What differs is the basis for that verification, shown on each track page as its disclosure: either "Artist Attested" or "SIQA Identified". The basis determines what markers may appear, whether a certificate is possible, and who can change the record.

One badge, two bases

Disclosure: Artist Attested

The creator has come to SIQA, attested to their AI involvement, and been reviewed by the editorial team. Only artist-attested tracks are eligible for SIQA Verification Certificates, and only once the profile is claimed and the creator confirms the classification. Attested tracks never display signals.

Disclosure: SIQA Identified

SIQA editorial identified the track as AI-made based on observable indicators. The "Signals observed" section appears on these tracks only — it is the evidence behind the editorial call. SIQA Identified listings never carry a certificate.

In the API, every registry track returns verification_status: "verified"; the basis is the provenance_source field — artist_attested or editorial_assessment.

The seven identification markers

Markers are shown as chips on the track page. Signal-class markers describe indicators observed in the work itself. Disclosure-class markers describe public statements or metadata, and require at least one linked evidence URL before they can be saved.

Chart Achievement Plaques

Plaque eligibility

Physical SIQA Chart Achievement Plaques are available to songs that have completed at least 10 weeks on an eligible SIQA chart or reached the Top 10. Plaques recognize an established milestone, a peak achievement, or both combined. Digital achievement certificates are available for all verified chart accomplishments.
